FFG-funded project (IKT der Zukunft) DALICC:
Data Licensing
Clearance Center aims to design and develop a software framework that significantly
reduces the costs of license clearance in the creation of derivative data works.

Euregio
Mobility Fund project REEeT: Research and Education Exchange in
eTourism enables PhD, MSc, BSc students and staff of the partner
universities to jointly take part at study programs in the three sites, with a
focus on semantic technology and eTourism, explicitly including TourismFastForward
conference in Mayrhofen, Tyrol, in spring 2017. Project partners are:

FWF-funded project OntoHealth: Problem-aware Semantic eHealth
Services designs a semantically enabled information system that fosters the collaboration of various health
professionals, integrates the patient in his/her medical treatment, that is
highly flexible and guarantees a high level of quality along the process of
patient treatment. Project partners are: UMIT – University for Health Informatics, University of Innsbruck. 2013-2016.
FFG-funded project (IKT der Zukunft) OpenFridge:
Opening
and Processing Appliances Data for Energy Efficiency aims to design and develop a pilot simple and
scalable Internet of Things data infrastructure, empowering building new
services based on the typical home appliance data, e.g. data on the energy
consumption of the fridge. Project partners are: FTW Forschungszentrum
Telekommunikation Wien GmbH, University of Innsbruck, Semantic Web Company
GmbH. 2013-2015.
FFG-funded project (IKT der Zukunft) AgriOpenLink: Adaptive Agricultural Processes via Open Interfaces and Linked Services provides an extendible interface model for agricultural machines via an open-source library and a design methodology for adaptive process control based on linked semantic services and data, and verifies and popularizes these results in a user study targeting developers of ICT applications for smart farming. SESAME-S (SEmantic SmArt Metering – Services for Energy

aims to design, develop and set on the market commercial services on the
basis of enablers for energy efficiency, developed in the SESAME
project. The project is realized by the consortium of FTW, a research
center and four SMEs (from Austria, Serbia and Russian Federation).

SmartReality has a goal of development of an innovative
semantics-based and service-oriented framework for enabling new smart
mobile augmented reality applications. The consortium is comprised of

SESAME (SEmantic SmArt Metering: Enablers for Energy
Efficiency)
aims to facilitate home owners or building managers (also referred to as
users or end-customers) in saving energy within
their environments and in optimizing their energy costs, while actively
controlling and maintaining their preferred quality of living.
The project is realized by the consortium of FTW and four SMEs
(from Austria, Serbia and Russian Federation) bringing together various
competencies and fields of expertise. 2009-2010.

ProtecNETplus program of FFG
project SemNetMan (semantic based network/cluster management)
combines two methods relevant for the knowledge society: the social network
analyses (SNA) and techniques of the Semantic Web. The resulting method should
enable efficient network management within the scope of project environments
and related requirements. The project is realized by seven Austrian
organisations from research to industry containing specialists from network
management, semantic technologies and social network analyses. 2005-2006.
Network of Excellence in
the Information Society Technologies (IST) Programme for Research, Technology
Development & Demonstration under the 6th Framework Programme: Realizing
the Semantic Web (Knowledge Web). Project partners are around twenty
leading Universities in Europe and France
Telecom to co-ordinate the industrial outreach. 2004 - 2007.
The National University of
Ireland, Galway has been awarded 12 million
Euros over the next five years from Science Foundation Ireland (SFI) to fund a
new Digital Enterprise Research
Institute (DERI). The Institute which is being co-funded by HP’s
European software centre will be at the forefront of research into the second
generation of web technology – the Semantic Web. 2003 – 2008.
